NOV 13 Pale lemon yellow. Rich, fruity, vanilla and popcorn nose, ripe lemons. Fresh acidity, fruity, lively, bit oaky and up front, but manages to be fresh even so. Seems to scream for grilled white fish or lobster. Long. 92

2007 Leeuwin Estate Margaret River Art Series Chardonnay
DEC 11 Pale golden, fairly rich and popcorn nose with butter, bacon, minerals and vanilla, less intense than a 05 bottle a few months back, but in similar shoes. Nice acidity, ripe and long length. Probably the best Chardonnay in Australia. 92

SEP 15 Pale lemon yellow. Apples, vanilla, smoky, citrus, intense nose, fruity. Fresh acidity, elegant, ripe, rich, fruity, intense, fairly detailed, citrus and vanilla finish, long. 92

NOV 09 Lemon yellow, great nose, complex, some smoke, flint and minerals over ripe green apples. Hints of citrus and some vanilla and barrel notes. Nice acidity, great fruit intensity, great balance, very long and elegant finish. The only thing pulling down is a slightly warm finish. 89

2002 Leeuwin Estate Margaret River Chardonnay Art Series
DEC 11 (Served blind), golden, tropical and yellow fruits, popcorn nose. Screams of New World Chardonnay. Minerals, smoke, good acidity, quite fresh feel in the aftertaste, some alcohol in the finish, on the heavy side, (not as together as the 07 with answer in hand, vintage or the ageing?) Still a great wine. 91
