APR 13 Deep ruby. Liquorice, scented and blueberries nose. Intense. Fruity, fairly compact but more elegant for me than other vintages I've tasted, rich and long. 91-93

APR 13 Deep ruby. Scented, blueberries and liquorice nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, soft, fresh, fruity, good length. 88-90

2010 Flor de Pingus

MAY 13 deep ruby. Fruity, scented, ripe and sweet nose, floral and dark berries. Fairly fresh acidity, ripe tannins, sweet and ripe palate, unbalanced alcohol in the finish, warm. 86

2008 Flor de Pingus
JAN 12 Deep ruby, sweet, plummy, almost Port-like nose, just less intense, with alcohol showing. Sweet palate, fairly intense, ripe, boring, one-dimensional. 82

2006 Flor de Pingus

NOV 16 Ruby. Dark fruits, rich, alcohol, intense, jammy, liquorice. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, rich, intense, fruity, massive, alcoholic and sweet. 89

2004 Pingus

OCT 10 Deep ruby. Blackberries, blueberries, vanilla and spices, some floral notes nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, ripe, dark fruity, rich and intense, some alcohol sticks out, long. 90

2003 Flor de Pingus
JUN 14 Deep ruby, garnet rim. Rich nose, some floral and scented nose, cool liquorice but warmer blueberries nose. Layered. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, surprisingly lively for producer and vintage, finally some layers in this one, long. 91

MAY 10 Deep ruby. Fruity, dark berries, jammy nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruity and sweet, boring. 87

2002 Flor de Pingus

MAY 10 Dark fruits, spices, jammy blueberries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, dark berries and spices. Some alcohol in the finish. 88

1998 Pingus

SEP 11 Served blind, ruby, garnet rim, vanilla, violets and elegant, if a bit closed on the nose. Very elegant fruit, high of ripe tannins, lively acidity, quite boring even if it doesn't sound like it in the tasting note, gives little of any interest, not very long. Spain somewhere? 86-87

1996 Flor de Pingus

NOV 09 Ruby. Dark fruits, blueberries, liquorice nose, mint and coffee. Freshish acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, jammy, dark berries, bitter black coffee finish. 88

1995 Pingus

FEB 10 Served blind. Deep ruby. Dark fruits, alcohol, blackberries, jammy, spices nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, big, ripe, plums and jam, alcoholic finish, lacks freshness and complexity. 89
