AUG 16 Pale ruby core, amber rim. Dried fruits, maturing, some figs, some nuts nose. Fresh acidity, dry fruits, drying palate, lacks the concentration it needs to balance the structure and alcohol. 86

1997 Cálem Quinta da Foz
NOV 14 Rubinrød med rød kant. Fiken, rosiner, dadler, utviklet og moden, føles drikkeklar. Frisk syre, modne og avslepne tanniner, litt varm munnfølelse men forsvant noe ett par dager etter åpning. Slank og moden frukt, drikke snart. 89

SEP 14 Ruby. Dried fruits, raisins, figs, leather, spices, some wood polish, very mature nose for its age. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, rustic texture, drying palate. 88

1985 Calem Vintage
AUG 16 Ruby, garnet rim. Dried fruits, raisins, some anise and spices. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, dried fruits, some wood notes and cigars, lots of dry extract, lacks the fruit to balance it, good length.

1985 Calem Vintage Port
NOV 15 Deep ruby, garnet rim. Dark fruits, some figs, prunes, light spicy note and mint chocolate nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, starting to mellow off, dark fruit, warm finish, good length. 89

Calem 30 Years Old Tawny
OCT 16 Deep amber, golden rim. Rich nose, nuts, molasses, burnt caramel, heavy raisins and heavy dates nose. Fresh acidity, rich, molasses, more oxidative and heavier but not as refined, burnt caramel finish, long. 90

Calem 20 Years Old Tawny
AUG 16 Pale amber. Dried fruits, nuts, dried apricots nose. Fresh acidity, dried fruits, some alcohol, not the best balanced Tawny, good length. 87
