the 08 that I found a bit heavy on the alcohol. The 07 is far more nuanced.
Ruby. Rich nose but layered, spices, cassis, scented and a touch of licorice.
Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, spicy and some vanilla, long. Decant it if you
open it now. 92

OCT 12 Ruby. Scented nose of roses. violets, cassis,
blueberries and vanilla. Fresh acidity and ripe tannins. Slightly high in
alcohol (14,5%) kills the real charm of otherwise great fruit and excellent
wine. Warm finish. 88

MAY 10 Deep ruby, ruby rim. Intense
of sweet plums, jammy, chocolate and liquorice, very sweet, didn't dry up even
after days of being open. Medium acidity, medium tannins and oak tannins, woody
notes and dry finish because of it, high alcohol that ads to the sweetness,
even so a bit rustic. Not well balanced, and I can't understand that the label
says 13% alcohol when the wine feels this sweet and alcoholic. This is the by
far worst Solaia I have had....81
